1. The product

DearEver is a guided digital product for creating a Birthday or Anniversary Story with your own words and photographs. Build and privately preview for free. The one-time publication price is $15 USD, including tax. Birthday and Anniversary are self-service products. Custom Story is unavailable.

A Birthday Story includes eight to sixteen photographs, four traits, ten reasons, three memory chapters, a personal letter, a sign-off, and optional licensed DearEver birthday music. An Anniversary Story includes eight to sixteen photographs, four milestones, eight love notes, then-and-now memories and a personal letter. Anniversary does not include audio. Creative services, manual revision rounds, custom design, customer music uploads, password protection, custom domains, subscriptions, and lifetime hosting are not included.

2. Preview and payment

Private previews may contain clearly marked placeholders until you complete the checklist. Check the complete story, names, dates, writing, photo order, and captions before purchasing. Your words are preserved; DearEver does not rewrite them.

Checkout is provided by Lemon Squeezy. You verify your purchaser email before checkout. DearEver does not store full payment-card details. A checkout return is not proof of payment: publication follows a verified payment confirmation from the provider. If confirmation is delayed, your portal shows “Confirming payment.”

3. Photo & content rights

You retain ownership of your photos and writing. By submitting them, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them for this story, including necessary permission from people shown or named. For a child, you must be their parent or guardian or have appropriate permission.

You grant DearEver a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, optimize, display, and host your content to provide and support your story. We do not sell customer content or use it in marketing without separate permission. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, malicious, or rights-infringing content. We may restrict access while investigating a credible rights or safety complaint.

Self-service photos must be JPEG, PNG, or WebP and are optimized in your browser before upload. Convert HEIC or HEIF before using the creator. Only DearEver’s licensed music can be enabled; customer audio is not accepted. Media licenses.

4. Publication and editing

After verified payment, your story is published automatically and you receive an unlisted gift link and downloadable SVG QR code in your portal. The snapshot selected at checkout is used for publication. Delivery is digital; no physical item is supplied.

You may edit your story for 30 days after publication. Saved edits update the live story immediately, so review changes carefully. After the editing period, the portal becomes read-only while the public story remains online for the rest of its hosting term.

5. Hosting and access

Hosting lasts three years from publication. We send expiry notices to the purchaser email 60 and 7 days before removal. At expiry, the public story becomes unavailable and its hosted media is scheduled for deletion. Hosting renewal is not included; keep your original photos and writing.

An unlisted story is not password-protected. Anyone who receives the gift link or QR code can open it. Stories request non-indexing by search engines, but this cannot prevent someone from copying or sharing them. Keep your purchaser email accessible and never forward recovery links.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed for duplicate charges, DearEver technical failure that prevents the purchased product from working, applicable consumer rights, or an owner-approved exception. A free complete preview is available before purchase. A change of mind after publication does not automatically qualify for a refund, without limiting rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Email support@dear-ever.com from your purchaser email with the order reference, payment date, and issue. Approved refunds use the original payment method; provider processing times vary. A verified refund immediately disables the gift and closes editing. Its media is scheduled for deletion after 30 days.

7. Drafts, privacy, and support

Unpaid abandoned drafts and uploaded photos are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Text can also be saved locally on your device; photos and consent are not stored in that local draft. See our privacy notice for access controls, retention, and your data choices.

For legacy managed-service orders, the scope and terms accepted for that order continue to apply. This self-service release does not remove existing support records or agreed commitments.

8. Availability and applicable rights

DearEver retains ownership of its story designs, interactions, and underlying technology. Service availability may be affected by maintenance, technical failures, or misuse. Contact support for a technical problem with your purchased story.

These terms do not limit mandatory consumer or other legal rights. Material changes will be dated here and communicated when required for an active paid order. Questions can be sent to support@dear-ever.com.
